What HouseHum is — and isn't
HouseHum is a private home operating log and seasonal maintenance guide. Its guidance is evidence-informed general information drawn from published sources (EPA, DOE, ENERGY STAR, NFPA, CPSC, InterNACHI, and manufacturer-typical practice, graded honestly). It is not professional advice, an inspection, an engineering opinion, or a substitute for a licensed contractor, plumber, electrician, inspector, or structural engineer.
For gas, carbon monoxide, electrical-panel, structural, and roof work — and any situation that feels unsafe — stop and call a licensed professional or your utility's emergency line. HouseHum's coach is designed to tell you exactly that.
Your data, your responsibility
Your home record lives in your browser's storage on your device. You are responsible for exporting or backing it up; clearing browser data deletes it permanently and we cannot recover it.
Paid plans
Home Record ($29/year) is an optional subscription billed via Stripe. AI House Coach ($4.99/month, capped at 100 messages/month) is planned, but it is not on sale yet while live coach entitlement is finished. Cancel anytime; access runs through the paid period.
AI House Coach
The AI coach generates responses with Anthropic's Claude models, grounded in HouseHum's graded evidence base. AI output can be imperfect; treat it as a knowledgeable starting point, verify anything consequential, and rely on licensed professionals for safety-adjacent decisions. Do not use the coach for emergencies.
Acceptable use
Don't attempt to misuse, overload, reverse-bill, or resell the service, and don't use it for anything unlawful.
Disclaimers & liability
HouseHum is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apps 4 That LLC is not liable for damages arising from use of the app or reliance on its general guidance — including property damage or losses connected to maintenance decisions. Final wording of this section is subject to counsel review.
Trademarks & status
"HouseHum" is a working name; trademark clearance is pending. These draft terms apply only to the public beta and will be replaced by counsel-reviewed terms before public launch.
